Artistic Expression

Today the doors closed to the most exciting event in Miami, Art Basel. Having an utmost love of the arts since a little girl, it is an event I look forward to yearly. I remember when Art Miami exhibition was in January. It was small, not many artist at first but for me it had always been a special exhibition where it opens doors to artists I got to learn about and others able to see up-close works I had studied. I used to paint, it was my hobby as a teenager and then turned it into a love for design with a college degree until life got in the way. I’ve struggled since to open that door again but Art Basel week makes me believe I have the key to unlock that door.

Artistic expression opens doors on how the mind works and that fascinates me! It’s all the love, the junk, the fears, the compassion, the knowledge, the depth of a dance with the mind and body come to fruition. And though I am not an exhibitor yet, rather just one of the many excited attendees, Art Basel week makes me happy to see art so alive! When was the last time something inspired you to open a door that you might have not considered before?
