Two years ago on a day like today, had this absurd idea to journal certain pictures I’ve taken in my travels or special moments and write about it for the world to know as if I’m a fabulous celebrity.
Am I for real? Yes!
I was not sure who would understand my project – then again had faith the right doors would open through the magical world of social media on how others would discover it.
What if through my words and pictures I’ve been so lucky to capture, I inspire someone to reflect on life. Inspire someone to check off their bucket list to a new travel spot or be in awe of the craftsmanship of doors and architecture?
On the last morning of 2017, while having a favorite, a “cafe con leche” on my patio, I was scrolling through pictures looking for the perfect one to feature on this anniversary. Nothing inspired me, nothing!
Then again, I barely have taken any pictures recently. It lead me to reflect on how many times do you close doors without realizing it until after it’s too late? How many times have you felt unlucky due to external factors that steered you away from goals and no matter how much you try to get back on track, you just can’t seem to reopen the doors and boy does that hurt!
Yet life is about trials and error and moving forward, a foreign concept for many, yes? no?
Yet when you realize this concept, the universe has a way to give you clues that have been there all along to open new doors literally and metaphorically.
For me, it has been at home with the most basic things I see regularly such as the sign on my patio door (vive, ama, rie means live, love and laugh in Spanish).
Don’t you agree that the right doors open when you truly live, when you laugh and when you love while being fearless?
So today, I fearlessly open doors to expand my project into a blog to inspire, discover new places, share life experiences and keep evolving.
May you luck out today to open doors that make you live, love and laugh! #luckedoutoday
