The year was 1907.
Doors to this water tower were opened at this serene city park renamed
“Volunteer Park” in honor of volunteers that served in the Spanish–American war.
Lucky me that these doors opened today thanks to them. Lucky me that many generations later after this war, life opens doors to my roots in places I never even knew existed and get to share them with a very special cousin.
So for today, open doors to reach out to a family member to reconnect doors that have been closed. You might be more connected than you think. #luckedoutoday
