The Day Before

Do you ever consider the meaning of the day before your next birthday?

I do as I consider it more important than calendar year. It’s a time to reflect on what did you accomplish in your year of life. Do you party it up or rather simply cannot wait to close the door and look forward to the next 24 hours?

Today, March 28 in Miami, I am closing the door of my year of… well let’s just leave it as a mystery!

I started this past year of life with good health, SUP, treating myself to new car doors, plenty of pleasant surprises after airplane doors closed but also faced with a few heavy doors to close and say good bye to loved ones until we meet again.

I also opened up my very own door for the first time and in my professional life gave my team opportunities to open doors to a simply amazing experience they will cherish for years to come. And though I’m still trying to close the damn door to this stupid cold that’s in love with me, (oy vey) I know this new year of life will be just like this cafe I came across while on a weekend in Mexico. It’s colorful with an open ornate gate, has depth, it’s simple, welcoming yet it flows. I know I’ll have to close some doors but I also know the doors I’ll open will bring me so much happiness and the desires of my heart.
