Since a little girl my superhero was Superman. He could do anything except when exposed to kryptonite, the poor guy! We all have some form of kryptonite that we wish it would just go away. Can you identify yours? If you’re thinking it’s vodka for me because of this post, (I’ll get to that later), it’s so far from it. Nice try though.
What’s ironic, is you don’t even realize that kryptonite is blocking open doors to the life you want and yet somehow keep taking small doses of it until it eats you up.
We ALL have been there.
What I love about the Art Basel experience is that I leave all forms of “my kryptonite” behind from the moment I walk through the doors to explore new artistic expressions. Fascinated by the creativity and abilities artists take so much time and effort to showcase “look at what I can do!” And in the maze if you’ve never been, get so caught up and need a break from it all. This day took me to open a glass door that lead me to the coolest vodka truck.
It matched my outfit, my style and its name is like my childhood nickname plus X. What are the odds that for this day, I “X”ed out all the bs! What are the odds since then I’ve been X-ing out certain kryptonites and opening doors to heal from them.
Today, may you luck out to identify what you want to X out of your life and start opening new doors. Until next year Art Basel, you are one my heroes for the soul!
